Through the lens of an intimate story about the filmmaker’s Ugandan ancestry, ’First Woman’ explores the universal search for belonging and identity.

 

In search of her roots, Patricia embarks on a journey to trace her own and humankind’s shared DNA heritage back to its origins, to the woman who connects us all, Mitochondrial Eve.
